Steve W2
Anyone of you wheel suppliers out there that can source the correct type of locking wheel nut to suit Volk Racing AV3 alloys? Even a normal wheelnut would do, let me know dudes:cool:
Gaz Walker
We sell nuts that have fitted on every type of aftermarket wheels so far, cant see those being any different Regards, Gaz.
Steve W2
Cheers for the reply Gaz. The problem is the diameter of the hole in the wheel is very small and requires the nuts to be not much bigger than diamter of the stud (in comparison to normal). I have a local garage looking at these already but don't really have too much confidence in them as they are saying they are probably going to have to ship them from Japan:( Have you got any pictures or sizes of these Gaz? I will forward the best wheel picture I have got to your sales email at ENVY. Cheers dude!
Tony
I had similar problems with the Volks Winning wheels. Found a nut that fitted fairly easily but needed to alter the cover and release tool: All measurements are in inches so we need to do two jobs. The Caps These need cutting down so they are easier to get off a the plastic tool will not even begin to fit into the wheel's recess. You will find that if you clear the lower non-spinning section it is fairly easy to remove the cap. Remove about 0.175 from the bottom of each cap. The Tool By offering up various sockets to the wheel recess, I determined that the maximum diameter permitted is 0.950 inches. The tool is 1.025 external diameter. So we need to remove 0.075 from the diameter, or 0.037 from the wall of collar. The collar is about 0.100 thick so removing say 0.037 will still leave 0.063. The recess gives about 150-degree of circumference protection, more at the end of the tool where the bursting forces will be greatest. I still chip the paint of the recess each time

The nuts are are clearly visible on the wheel without removing any caps, they are clearly recessed. I would post a pic but they always go funny! You can see them in my website below if you click on the TT link:)
