Wez
Hey All, As I am easily able to build a bar of boost on the line I was wondering if it would be better to launch in 2nd for drag purposes? When launching in 1st it takes a good few meters before there is any traction at which point I go into 2nd anyway. Thoughts?
chilli
I'm not sure but I'd feel very sorry for the clutch lol
Wez
This is my concern also. I have done a fair amount of 1bar launches in 1st and it seems ok
Graham S
If you launch in second are you not getting a bit of lag once the wheels grip?
Wez
Do you mean turbo lag?
Syed Shah
If you have a clutch you can slip to keep the revs up (what Graham is referring to), then it may be of help. Otherwise, 1st is a better bet.

tbourner
I asked this before and I think most people said it wouldn't make enough of a difference - and IIRC someone actually tried both at Pod and got near enough exactly the same times.
