tDR
plus port related handling / bunker adjustment (pishy extra charges) fees means around 30% on top of what you've paid to get it to the UK. Then you need to convert it, SVA (if applicable) and MOT it, then you can register it which is the cost of 6 months / 12 months road tax plus a fee of about £50. Cheers, Brian. SupraAyf
With UK Sterling being so strong against the Japanese Yen at the moment, you should get some amazing bargains. The Yen has been extremely weak against the pound for many months now so importers have made some good profits recently (both car and car part importers alike!) I will be after a 2nd Supra soon and I am really thinking hard about going directly to the auctions as I would save £1,000's against import dealer prices etc. I just need to learn the import 'drills' and I'll be away. Keep us informed on your progress mate and good luck!!

You will only save £1,000's if you buy the same low grade higher mileage pish that most import dealers seem to buy up and get crooked with.... mutton dressed as lamb springs to mind! What you will find you'll get is a nice grade 4 or above low mileage example for similar money to what your average cowboy trader wants for crap. Traders on here excepted of course - Jurgen and CJ for example are straight down the middle honest kinda guys and you will see excellent value from them. Cheers, Brian. Cheers, Brian. I agree fully with the likes of the 2 guys above and their reps. I am in a position where my wife and I will probably venture to Japan in a few months so I'm going to take the opportunity to visit a few locations etc;)
tDR
Would love to do that myself... will probably make a holiday of my next own import for myself! Flight prices are pretty high though, hence haven't been yet. Post up how you get on over there! Cheers, Brian.
