Alex
Have you modified the car at all since the original install?? Sometimes the intellistart can be messed up if you change the, for want of better words, electrical signiture of the car through adding things like turbo timers, FCD's, EBC's etc.
ChrisB
hmm never thought of that could be the reason for it going a bit funny the other times, but no not since the last time he came to fix it nothing has changed just dont want to have to have him come down again, would just like it to work everytime
Paul Laing
You'll just have to not look cool by remote starting your car when it's cold lol
Matt Harwood
He needs to program the rpm of the car and then select the correct pulse count that coresponds to the idle speed of your car. Unfortunatly, a lot of installers simply click the 'program rpm' button in the sotfware. More often than not, this works fine, but it should be matched to your car properly. I'd guess that the alarm was programed whilst the engine was warm, (or at least, not on fast idle), and left without setting up the pulse counts. Now, when you start the car from cold, (at fast idle), the alarm thinks the engine is over-revving, and cuts out as a safety measure.
