dandan Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Guys, I am about to buy a load of plants for a hedge at the front of my house - I'm thinking of something like Pyracantha to keep any youths from jumping/leaning any where near it. Anyone here work in this line of business or point me in the direction of a decent supplier? Chewie Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Pyracantha is a tad extreme for a roadside hedge. Try a laurel. I planted a 40 ft hedge about 4 years ago from 12" tall plants. Within 2 years, the hedge was 4 ft. Now it's 6 ft. Nice big leaves easy to trim. Do it yourself, go to any decent garden centre and shell out about £3/plant. Dead easy. I was just wondering if anyone here was a potential supplier of plants (maybe online/mail order type) rather than a more expensive garden centre.
