So I put my old Sony Ericsson W550i on ebay

Can you see a link if the item it closed????

Anyway the title of which...............

Sony Ericsson W550i, unlocked, boxed with accessories

Theres your first f-ing clue what make it is. Ignorant f-ing tosser

I get an email from the highest bidder "erquillopozi(12)" stating that they thought that they were bidding on the W850i. In broken English mind you. Not happy at all. So they are asking me to relist the item, I wouldn't mind, but their excuse is crap to say the least, if the words confuse them, the photos of the phone, with the BIG BLOODY ORANGE BOX WHICH STATES W550I might have given them a clue what they were bidding on

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

So annoyed.

In case you can't see the link, this is what I wrote......

Okay, this auction is for my brilliant Sony Ericsson W550i. I loved this phone so much I upgraded to the newer version the W850i, and subsequently sent this away to be restored back to as good as condition as reasonably possible

Subsequently it is in excellent condition. The screen still has its protective cover on, and even the removable rubber part at the bottom is present and accounted for

This auction includes the following items:

1 * usb cable

1 * set of head phones [i have included the ones which came with my W850i, as im sure you don't want my used ones. :) So these head phones are brand new

1 * spare plastic shell thingey. So should you damage your phone, you can change the shell of it

1 * orange fascia

1 * silver/white fascia [so in affect you have two of these, as this one is separate to the one actually on the phone already

1 * spare plastic screen, should your nice new one become scratched

1 * mains charger

1 * software

1 set of every manual you might imagine that relates to this phone, including warranty documents and user guide

Features of the Sony Ericsson W550i include:

Walkman media player with Mega Bass™ and stereo widening

FM radio with RDS

I don't have a reserve, but this is a brilliant phone. If you have any questions please just ask. Please check out my feedback for reassurance

Just to clarify, you are bidding on the phone and accessories only. It is unlocked and Like new, in perfect working order. Previously used on 02. But it will work on any network

Many thanks for looking

PS: Oh and a note to scammers, I have noted down the IMEI number so please don't waste my time and bid on this item.

PPS: I am also not interested in sending this to your long lost cousin, brother or relative or whoever, regardless of how sick they might be! My advise is perhaps you should save your pennies, instead of bidding on my item, and go buy plane ticket.

What the internet says........

The W550i is another Walkman™ branded phone from Sony Ericsson. It's a swivel action phone, like the Sony Ericsson S700i from last year. When closed, you can use the music functions of the phone, play games and access the menu. The phone is easy to open, and you then have access to the full keypad. The numeric keypad isn't the easiest to use, but it's acceptable. The W550i is available in a choice of three colours: Universe Blue, Orchid White and Vibrant Orange, with changeable covers.

As you'd expect from a phone carrying the Walkman logo, there's a digital music player and a built-in FM radio. Putting music onto the W550i is easy, as CD-ripping PC software is supplied with the phone. Using the Bluetooth connection you can drag and drop MP3 tracks from your PC to the phone. Flight mode lets you use the music player whilst on an aircraft.

The phone also has a good 1.3 megapixel camera plus a video camera. There's an easy-to-use menu for the camera functions, and a dedicated camera button. The screen is large (1.8") and high quality, with 262,000 colours.

The W550i is also designed for games, with dedicated gaming buttons. Games are played with the phone horizontal, making it easy to hold like a games console, and also making best use of the screen. You can use Bluetooth for wireless multi-player games.

The phone is easy to use, with an icon-driven desktop and an intuitive menu. A file manager application is used to move music tracks and other items. Voice control can be used to answer or reject calls, and to make calls from your phonebook.

In conclusion, the W550i is a good phone for music lovers. Although there's no memory card, 256 Mbytes is more than most phones and is enough to make this into a useable MP3 player (enough for around 75 tracks). The sound quality is excellent. The camera is good, though not as good as the W800i's, and the screen is also good, though not as large as that on the S700i. The phone is generally very easy to use, although the keypad is not ideal for texting. However the W550i is not a reliable phone. Many users have suffered from a problem where the screen turns white and the phone has to be replaced, and some users have reported temperemental Bluetooth connectivity. The Sony Ericsson W800i is a much better option.

Perhaps, but you can set up so that certain bidders can't actually bid, so thats sort of protects yourself. To be honest I don't mind, if the person who makes a mistake, emails you and gives you legitimate reasons why, people forget its a contract, and they know they can get away with it, as ebay will do jackshit. [lots of swearing, but im annoyed]
