They're pretty easy to set up (the routers, not the customers ) and I've not had any issues with reliability. Depending on the speed of the adapter in your laptop, something like a DG834G or DG834GT should do the trick Make sure you use WPA-PSK (or WPA2) security with a 5tr0ng pa55w0rD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
steb9780 Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 I have a Netgear router, it was dead simple to setup and seems very reliable. It occasionally needs a re-boot say once every 2 months. But so would you if you were on 24/7. Also setup a Linksys for a friend and that was quite easy too. Although it did take a while to figure out why it was giving slow speeds, I had the settings on use either B or G mode, when switched to use G mode always he was getting 2Mb constant then.
