sdavies Posted January 3, 2007 Share Posted January 3, 2007 ...just realised that there is a mysterious blue wire loose in my dash - and wondering where it should live? I am only concerned as I may have knocked it out of its home when struggling to put some connectors back on the dash panel that contain the heater controls. None of the night time illumination is currently working in the dash, and I couldn't find a fuse blown and hadn't noticed this wire wasn;t attached to anything until I knocked it and noticed how slack it was while fiddling in the dash area. The wire seems to run from behind the steering column somewhere and was tucked in a lip behind the dash panel and seemed to run back into the depths of the dash - I can't for the life of me see an obvious connection point (I haven't pulled the stereo out yet, but will do). Anyone have any ideas, or know if it is likely to be something important to do with the dash illumination? (or something else even more/less important?). I just hate finding stuff not connected when things aren't working My current fog lamp is attached somewhere in the region behind the ash tray with black and red wires running from a snap connector, as far as I know was the only attempt to "convert" it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I replaced the stereo and never run any wires in there (although I was at a mates house and we did have the Supe in bits whilst drinking ). It disappears up to the right and behind the steering column - possibly going into it somewhere. I will take the cover off it to see where it is going when I get back from work. So a hunting I will go.
