Mike M
Hi all, Needing some advice I have a Sony freeview box connected by S VHS to the plasma but I want to use the RGB output on the Sony. The plasma has R G B H V RCA's and can run the sync using either the H , V or Composite RCA. Big question is can I use this:-http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/RGBS-SCART-ADAPTER.html I have a component cable RCA - RCA that will fit the RGB connections but will a normal yellow RCA cable be ok for the Sync. It's all abit confusing. I have seen a scart to RGB + sync but it's over 40 quid and being a bit unsure and all that I'm not keen. Cheers Mike

chilli
well that sounds like roughly what I use. although I made the leads myself as it would have cost a fortune otherwise, I needed 4 * 10m lengths - didn't cost much to make anyway I use a similar scart to rgbs adaptor (just breaks the connections out into RCA) and 4 wires go to my projector. Sync can be carried on any of the wires, doesn't matter what colour so long as you wire up the same output to the same input. hope that helps, if not I've probably misunderstood what you're asking lol
Mike M
No thanks mate thats great. I'm still confused tho my freeview box is the Sony VTX-D800U quite a popular one I think but the manual just says it's RGB not RGB+S. Will it still need a sync or is it component that they've labelled Reg Green Blue. Thanks.
