bungy
I have the chance to buy a 4" front mounted intercooler designed for a nissan 200. It is brand new and really cheap. Is this a worthy proposition for fitment into my soop or would the amount of work mean it would work out more expensive than a soop specific intercooler. Marty
I bought a greddy 3row intercooler (by itself), which was off a skyline. All i bought was a supra intercooler piping kit off ebay (£160 inc delivery) and a few seperate samco hoses and it fitted fine. so saved myself a good £500. Maybe i was lucky though? Plus i have a t61 so need the cooler. If your just planning on staying bpu max its going to be a bit hit and miss mate, you dont really need an front mount intercooler IMO, a miami gt SMIC (£250) is more than sufficient as the side mount position is excellent for air flow, and i very much doubt you'll see any gains from a FMIC than you would a brand new SMIC, infact the SMIC would prob be more efficient unless you blocked up any possible airflow routes around a front mounted one. 99% chance that your original side mount is absolutely fookered though (as seems to be the case with every stock side mount ive seen) so a new cooler would be a worthy investment
