Gamer
Silly question but I want to replace my current breather system and I am trying to remove the old catch tank. I believe it is the type (or was ) that Paul E sells (or used to). It has two connectors on the top and one coming from the bottom. One hose comes off the hot side cam cover and the other hose just has a filter attached to it, both are using the top connectors. What I would like to know is where would the bottom hose go to ? I cannot see where it is going to and I am reluctant to unhook it until I know.

Gamer
some sort of drain ? I though so too, but I thought the purpose of the tank was to keep the oil in it. I don't know if the hose is connected to anything at the other end (away from the tank) or just hanging loose.

Gamer
Don't know, it is going down under the engine towards the transmission I think. The hose is the same size as the ones used on the top connectors.

Gamer
Ok, I gave it a few good tugs it seemed as if it was connected to something. I guess it could have just been hung up on something. I will investigate a bit more tomorrow.
Alex
You can drain back into the engine... Could you tip the can on it's side and use it as the filter/out port and have two feeds...
