Would it be better than Toyotas design, would it offer you a considerable power gain and excellent filteration

Most chaps go with the stock box as its far superior in every way

If I were going to do it, I would try to use the stock plastic pipe and an apexi filter and maybe build a cold air box around it :)

Think there should be a poll on this question as it is the first thing that anyone will do to modify their car: What is the best air filter then?? (and i'm hopeing for loads of responses)

That just makes another thing on my car that is gonna cost money, in the last two weeks i've found out i need to spend over £800 allready on 3 parts (Damn traders)

............and an aftermarket filter with no resonator boxes attached will increase the induction noise - gotta be worth 10bhp LOL (even if you do risk losing a slight amount in reality) - had a good chat about this with a couple of members the other day :) :)

On most cars this may work, but the Supra air box is extremely well designed by Toyota and aftermarket kits (generally) provide less filtration, more restriction and suck up more heat from the engine bay. ie they lose you power.

Well i now know that the japs can't home tune cars as mine came with the HKS on, and some sort of vacuum gauge as if to say 'Look Turbo'
