When you have a question think to yourself "I wonder if loads of other folks have wondered this too". If the answer is yes it has probably been asked and answered on here before. hogmaw Posted November 17, 2006 Share Posted November 17, 2006 OK I'll tell you and put you out of your misery :-) It allows you to move the auto gear stick thru the gears while the engine is off, so you can a) access behind the dash if you're working there and/or b) so you can move the car backwards or forwards while engine is off Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
