DaveK
For £500 you're going to end up with CRT again. Wouldn't you like to increase your budget slightly and get plasma / lcd?

DaveK
CRT's still give superior pictures to everything other than HD TV's receiving HD channels. Very true (quite noticeably in fact). But my LCD does look good on the wall.

peter richards
thanks for the links , one more question , would you buy off the internet or do the local stores
Mike
hmmmm... that's a very big question... probably with a TV, I'd get from a store, so I could take it back should anything happen.. Novatec is based in Portsmouth, so he picked it up from the store.. but I've no doubt they sell them local to you for a similar price..

DaveK
thanks for the links , one more question , would you buy off the internet or do the local stores I bought my LCD from the internet - from a place called jackinthebox I think. They were excellent - I ordered on a Friday evening. They called on a Saturday and asked whether I wanted it delivered Weds, Thurs or Fri. I said Weds - that's when it came. Not sure whether I'd have problems if it went wrong - but I'd definitely order from the internet again. Price difference is too much to buy from shops.
