Anyone have trouble with these, every file I seem to download goes 95-98% in under an hour then, stops and 3 days later the final 2-5% is still not complete.

All dependson how many seeds there are. I only pick the latest ones nowadays and make sure I get the one with the most seeds and least leechers.

 

I also try and stay well away from the downloaders that use Java, as they seem to take uop too many of my PC resources and then nothing comes down at all.

It said "fast" and was top of the list and in all fairness the first 95% of a 700mb file downloaded in 35mins, then when it got to 95%, the seeds all dissappeared and havent found any since (3 days waiting).

That's because all the selfish folk cancel the torrent as soon as they've got the whole thing meaning there's nobody left with the very last bit that you need.

Not all Java downloaders are bad, I've had azureous running for literally months and it's been fine.

 

There are other alternatives to torrents, DC for example - I often have much more success with DC with much faster download speeds than torrents, torrents are ok but they did get a bit over hyped for what they are

Thats the program this is happening with.

Think Ill switch and try it on the new warez.

I doubt it's the fault of the program, more likely not many people leaving it shared for long enough - a general problem with torrents

True, I dont tend to use torrents that often but they quality is normally better and more chance of it being as described than p2p downloads.

Try uTorrent, been using it for the past 18months and found it to be the best I've used so far.

BitComet was also good.

I went away from azureus, and have gone back to an old version of mainline, it is much quicker to download stuff, as it isn't spending half the time getting all that extra info.
