jevansio
I purchased the Active Spoiler mechanism for my J-Spec, went to fit it yesterday thinking there would be mounting points already but it's completely different. The 4 mounting points on the active spoiler hinges do not line up with any holes , and the under tray itself seems different between the UK & J-Spec. Anyone else come up with this when fitting one to their J-Spec, it's a facelift BTW, dunno if that makes any difference, Ta Jay
JODY T
You should see 3 bolt holes on the outside facing chassis leg.. Put the top one in and hook it up so it hangs then just put the rest in... I fitted mine to the car then added the bumper afterwards... Mine came off a UK spec and i fitted it to a J-Spec NA so they should fit easy... any problems ask...

JODY T
Thinking about it i had to take off the black plastic trim that the under tray screws too its hard to explain but they are directly under the chassis leg... Take it off or trim it (which would be better) and the mechanism will fit easy....
jevansio
Cheers Jody, I do seem to recall some plastic trim that I thought was getting in the way of the main brackets but I was unsure if I should remove / cut it, seemed a bit extreeme for something that should bolt straight on, Jay
JODY T
Yeah I know what you mean, I think the cars with the A/S have a slightly different black trim which gives the clearance.. I just took it off but should have trimmed it really... Its my car and i was in a rush lol I know it sounds stupid but you definatly have the loom for it?.. I only say that as I have recently seen someone fit the A/S without checking for the loom first... They didnt have one!
jevansio
Not really bothered about the loom, I'm going for the always down look (esp as I'll prolly go for a FMIC in the future), Cheers for the help, much appreciated Ta Jay
