Alex
Do you have a vent to atmosphere bov? Have you reset the ECU? What plugs were you running? What are you running now? Is the plug gap different now? Did you break the coil pack connectors getting them off?
captainchaos
I have HKS SSQV fitted, had NKG plugs in before now have denso iridiums in, tried resetting the ecu but same thing. Break the coil pack connectors?

Alex
Right, I think it's either an air leak or a bad spark. The SQV is only an issue on UK specs and VVTi's. The fact it was fine before is also a good pointer. I'm wondering if the ga of the denso's is much smaller than the NGK's. Are you able to measure the two plug gaps? Does it hold full boost? captainchaos
havnt had a chance to test the boost as it was chucking it down last night but i will check the plugs now The plugs that were taken out are NGK r's and the new ones are Denso iridium power ones just looking for specs for the new ones as they are in the car
captainchaos
Tried switching coil packs over but still getting it only happens now and then not every time i stop happened tonight a few times so i tried driving around braking to see if it would happen but it wouldnt when i tried. When it was happening i tried putting the car into neutral to see if that would make a difference but it still happened
