Central Locking Problems

Supra ST Myster

Recommended Posts

I have just started to have this problem where i try to unlock the car with my key fob and you can hear the alarm disarming and alarming each time you press the fob and trying to lock/unlock the doors but its like its not enough voltage to fully close or open them... so in the end i have to put the key in and unlock it that way which flips both door locks, but i have noticed that they are locking by them selves and even when they are locked they are still trying to lock as you can hear them, if you use the drivers switch to unlock them they do unlock, but then lock up again by themselves, would this siggest a problem with the alarm?

think it might need a trip to a auto electricians.... they could probally fix this quite quickly.... i had a similar problem with a civic and never managed to get it fixed (but i never took it anywhere to be looked at) i just put it down to the age of the central locking motors.

looking from the passenger side on the left there are alot of connectors all different colours one of them on mine had been knocked which took the power off all the system try pushing all of them back together hope this helps matey!!:search:

Ok thanks for that info, i will take a look at it tomorrow as it could be something like that as it has happened to me before once on an odd occassion, but sorted itself out, but now its everytime, its annoying as when i use the key to unlock the door, if im not quick enough sometimes, its locks up again on its own without doing anything!!
