Elliot
Quite a long article, but well worth reading, really interesting... http://observer.guardian.co.uk/sport/story/0,,1843723,00.html Paints an unclear future for Harry. I do feel for him, with what he's done for us. I just hope he's got all the assurances he needs, as he's a bit of a wet blanket - he needs to feel wanted! lol Can't wait till Saturday now, I walked from home (next to Fareham Reach) to Fratton for the Porto game, and it was crap to be fair, but lets hope we get a few more big names in who can perform. KaoriFan
i will have a read later on. thanks firstly, i am an Arsenal fan, but i do like to follow both Brighton and portsmouth as i find it good to support 'local' teams.
Rayman
Pompy are going in the right direction with these new signings they have made, DJ and SC will make a massive difference to a lower club like portsmouth a bit more assurance at the back will help so much more than last season, im expecting them to be mid-table this season! KaoriFan
i hope they stay mid table, never really had much time for Harry at W/H, but at Portsmouth, he does seem to have found his second-home. and considering some of the signings the future is looking good. not sure if Anelka would have been good for them, he seems to join a club and then leave if they get relegated. Portsmouth need stability for the future and they seem to have solid foundation being laid. The positive of this, good players want to sign for the team. not sure if this is true, but thought i heard Tony Adams was at the club in some capacity. thats even better considering how he was at Arsenal in their defence. I'm an Arsenal fan after seeing them rip us apart with such good football! lol Pompy are going in the right direction with these new signings they have made, DJ and SC will make a massive difference to a lower club like portsmouth a bit more assurance at the back will help so much more than last season, im expecting them to be mid-table this season! Campbell is a MASSIVE signing for us. Do you remember his comeback game against Pompey last season when he got injured? We were chanting "You're gay & your mental, you're gay & you're mental"! All in jest of course, strange how now he's the best thing since sliced bread As for David James, although prone to silly mistakes, he's an excellent keeper. I'm not sure how better he is than Dean Kiely, who took a big downward step coming to Pompey last year & did really really well for us LOL, read this article from him

Yeah, Adams is assistant manager or something (we have so many coaches and managers of different sorts it gets confusing!) Anelka would be an excellent signing for us, and the deal isn't dead yet
KaoriFan
capturing Anelka maybe would be ok as he is another ex-Arsenal player. having Campbell there, as well as Adams, may convince him to stay, even if they did get relegated. good news about Adams, one of the few players i respect, due to his overcoming the addictions and then taking the time to help others in same situation. Pabs
i kinda follw Pompey as used to live within a 3 minute walk from the stadium (student days ) I used to play for their under 16's too hehe Anyway, not a real supporter, but a general "follower" - i like to keep in touch with their antics
loks
Yup, been a Pompey fan since my first visit to Fratton Park when I was 7 years old... some 37 years ago... a bit difficult to get the games now though Although the new signing are a very good sign, I still think that we need more depth and some youth... I'll read the article later, thanks. PUP
KaoriFan
looks like they have signed Kanu as well, more Arsenal connection.
Elliot
looks like they have signed Kanu as well, more Arsenal connection. Yeah, my mate keeps going on about how crap he is, but I remember him being a damn good player at Arsenal. I know he had a rubbish season last year at West Brom, but lets hope Harry gets the best out of him. Especially as he's a free signing, and the season starts in like 4 days, and we only have one fit striker in Todorov (legend!) I am hoping we go out and splash the cash on a top striker as well though.
KaoriFan
looks like the deal is done, Kanu will now be with Portsmouth. so all looking good there should be interesting, when you said about the sol campbell 'gay' comments, wonder what will happen with Kanu, and his first name, lol
