Last night (tuesday) about 6.30 pm on Chiswick High road near stamford brook rd I think - I was in the fire engine! Not sure if you saw me or not.... Nick1980 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Share Posted August 2, 2006 Probably I wasnt speeding was I Nah, we were on a shout and had just stopped, so you just kind of whizzed around us making a bit of noise I'm based at Hammersmith fire station on shepherds bush road, so stamford brook road and askew road is the western boundary of the area we cover.....actually I seem to remember having a similar conversation to this a few months ago - I think I recall you live in W6, so technically you're Hammersmith! Yeah, the new station is nice and everything, but you can't really beat being next door to a nightclub that has to split the que in 2 to let our trucks out, especially when it's school disco every sat The old boys tell me it was even better 20 or so years ago when every station had a bar and drinking on duty was allowed In fact I even watched one leave the fire station a few months back.. You dirty buggers Um...well....sometimes we have 'visitors'....y'know, fire safety advice and all that Was it one of the school disco lot though? Haven't managed to 'advise' any of those for a while......I'll have to interrogate the other watches. Was it in the morning by any chance? Nick hows the Supra hunt going? Hey Sab!
