Matching Custom Paint?!?

Possibly dude may be the man for this (although I am sure others will know this).

Looking to buy a particular mkiv but since advertising (and before me paying) the garage owners/workers decided that the soop would look nicer with a big gash and dent down the driver-side wing. hmmmmm

This wouldn't be such a huge deal as a base or metallic paint is easy enough to match but this is a gun-metal grey base with purple / green flip -- can it be matched?

it is only the bodykit bumper and a bit of the wing (about 6 inches square on the wing) so any guesstimates on pricing (even if per litre) would be much appreciated.

Ta muchly

You would at least need to know what paint it was , then you may have 1/2 a chance and even then a kromflair type will be hard to blow in due to the fact they go over a base coat first .

Cheers for the reply dude.

Would that mean a full respray then? - couple of grand at least im guessing.

Little $hits, they should stick to their honda civics and nissan bluebirds.

When you say the type, do you mean whether it is pearlescant, kroma, etc etc?

I have a pic of the car (attached)

That may help a bit

Decided not to buy the car. Spoke to a sprayer nearby who basically said the same as you guys, He was happy to spray it back to the base (dark silver/grey) for £1500 which was very reasonable (including fixing the damaged bodywork too). but I decided that for all I know the sub-frame is bent and the sterring arms need replacing. Would rather find an un-fuk3d car to start with and knacker it myself if anything.

WTF that looks nasty. sort of like an arcade cabinet type paint. there is that skyline looks same as that paint job.

your car could look so good with a subtle colour. is it a show n shine car for max power type shows?

there is some great colours on other cars like audi, mg rover colours are great. dude has had lots of supras re painted and lots of people really happy with them.

hope you dont take offence its just an opinion
