I thought it was ok - my mates celica came with an LCD and the screed was ok with a dvd player,if worse comes to the worse you can source a dvd player from Japan which plays multi region and job done ! - they are cheap as chips on ebay
Aerotop Dave
I think you may be thinking of NTSC (I think) and PAL. Dunno what Japan uses but the US use the former and it has fewer lines so is more fuzzy. Over here we use the superior PAL system. However, I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference really for a screen. My big tube telly (built around 2000) in my lounge can do both formats, so I would expect a LCD screen to be able to. Besides which... these are both analogue formats, and I thought an LCD screen would have been digital. I'm no expert (can you tell?!), but I don't think it would apply. A 3000GT near me has those odd aerial things on it's rear screen and I'm sure we've discussed them before on here - they were telly aerials IIRC.
