Im a bit of a noob with cars, is it ok to use the stuff from Garages or is it better to goto Halfords to get something better? Or am I just talking balls? Please advise! BASHTHEBISHOP
use the search tool mate. i think valvoline and silkoline are the recommended but depends what driving you mainly do, age of car etc etc
Underworld
Hehe oil seems to be another language at the mo, theres loads of different flavours. Im a careful driver I guess, I dont go hammering the car and its only used at the weekends. Looks like I need 5w40 - Silkolene Pro S, Castrol RS, Motul 300V Power 5w50 - Valvoline VR1 SynPower, AGIP PC5w-50. Just gotta find what the diff between 40 and 50 means now

Ruff_Rider
Don't forget that oil at garages / petrol stations will overcharge you heavily. Halfords would be better especially if buying a gallon.
