Is there anything I need to do before I turn the engine on after wiring in the DLi? It has been soldered into the harness. (And the car is a Soarer !JZGTE, but that shouldnt make a difference.) I did to solder the wiring up, but then I think I connceted the battery for the alarm last night and not sure if I re-disconeccted it before I plugged in the loom. Why? michel lane Posted July 25, 2006 Share Posted July 25, 2006 well just common sense to undo the battery if any work was done on the electrics of the car...dont you think ??it should start then , have a look at the red led on the dli , if that does not work dont worry to much as they have a tendancy to fail , take the spark plug out turn it over and look at the spark compared to the dli not plugged in . it should be much brighter. then you know it works ..mine does the same at the moment , no light but it still works....
