Guest Tobbe81
ill just throw it at you and see what you think. i bought this jap supra with a sdc converted to mph. i removed box and got km/h but then again i will get the speed limit at 180km. so is it poss to reinstall the sdc but only to remove the speed limit, and not using the conversion to mph=? like not connecting all the cables. or must i get a whole new sdc with kmh to get it to work? basicly i want all meters original japs,. just get the limit off. i cant tell the manufacturer of the sdc, its from vine place just a black box without any logo or name on. Matt Harwood
A lot of speed convertors/de-limiters don't actually remove the speed limiter at all, they simply scale the output to 5/8ths, which converts roughly to MPH, and moves the speed limiter up to 180mph. I suspect this is what you have. Contact Thor for one of their de-limiters. Their ones can simply remove the limter, (properly), without touching the speedo if that's what you want. Although unless you've got a 300kph speedo, you'll be finding it very easy to start pushing the needle right round and back to the stop!
Tattooman
Either Thor or Miami GT trading on this forum sell them, If you're not sure which wires to play with then buy a new box that do either Top Speed and MPH conversion in one unit or the individual top speed delimiter. Get them wired in by a pro with the instructions if you're not competant doing it yourself.
Guest Tobbe81
i could prolly do it myself. was not sure if it was as earlier said just a move of the speed limit to 180 rather then a removal.. doesent seem so fancy, my box that is. so i bet its just a easy way to convert to mph. i will order a box for the soul purpose of delimiting. Ty for answers.
