Code 14 and Misfire....again!!! :(

This was all resolved with a new FPR and a second-hand Igniter pack, although I noticed slight popping from the exhaust on idle. However the next day the ECU flashed briefly and it was the code 14 again (no Misfire). I re-setted the ECU and it was fine for a week but on Friday night.....same thing - Misfiring with Code 14 :(

Yesterday absxxxx (thanks Abs ;)) had a look and found a coil pack with oil contamination and a coil pack connector pin (female) was a bit loose. Also the Battery was on its way out. Abs sorted those things and the Idle was all smooth again and the car felt better. Unfortunately on the way back from Luton to Farnborough it started Misfiring again with code 14. Whilst the ECU light is on (that’s when the misfiring happens), if I keep the speed constant say on 50 then the car is ok, as soon as I blip the throttle it misfires.

On top of this, this problem is intermittent! Problem happens on Idle, on and off boost.

Things checked so far

Coil packs (existing ones not tested but replaced with another set)

New spark plugs

Second-hand Igniter

Coil pack clips and wiring looked at.

ECU connectors checked - The Igniter Feedback cable has a tee in it with a scotch lock but seems to be ok.

Phoenix will look at it again but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas?

Also, can the Igniter pack be damaged by other underlying problems?

Thanks,

Ro
