Graham S
Right, this has been going on for a while now and to be honest I don't drive the supra that much but its still annoying! When I'm driving 1st turbo boosts fine, when i get to about 2850rpm it drops what seems exactly 5 psi, exhaust note changes and its bloody annoying. It gets to about 3300ish rpm and clears and comes on strong as f**k for the second turbo! I changed all the VSV's etc and checked for boost leaks etc but can only see a pretty poor intercooler (stock) I changed the pressure tank and seemed to sort it out sweet, but came back again after a few hundred miles of driving (thats months for me!) Changed it again and made it slightly better but not right, Any ideas as i can only put it back to a poor intercooler? But then why would i get strong boost on 2nd turbo? Thanks
Graham S
Forgot to say, the problem started when i was stock, now running double decat, exhaust, filter, AVC-r and safc 2. Also noticed it really doesn't like boosting on hot days thats whats pushing me towards the cooler..
JustGav
Intercooler, dude..... But then I've said that to you.....

JohnA
...Any ideas as i can only put it back to a poor intercooler? But then why would i get strong boost on 2nd turbo? It's not the intercooler, the revs and load are far too low for the SMIC to have any impact. I'd first check for a VSV hose that is cracked/loose/wrongly fitted. They are not always as easy to diagnose as most people think. For example, cracked hoses might look OK at standstill, but swell and leak under pressure. JustGav
All the hoses have been replaced with a silicon hose kit, and I know he has changed all the VSV's... That is what has got him stumped.

JohnA
Are they all connected to the *right* endings? Do they all have cableties on both ends or appropriate hoseclamps? (the original ones may not work OK with silicon hoses of different external diameter)

All of them? - Even the ones underneath the intake and the ones that go around the rear of the engine?
