CJ
A friend of mine has a dial up internet service with Eircom over in Southern Ireland. She is experiencing problems whereby her connection cuts off after 10 minutes. Is this a setting she can change on her laptop? If so, how does she do it? I have reccomended she speak to Eircom but thought I would ask here too.
Mike
When the connection is idle for 10 minutes? I was sure that if you do right click on properties on the connection she's using there was a 'disconnect if idle for ** minutes' somewhere in there, where you can change the time in minutes, or set to zero so it doesn't time out...? That said I'm on the LAN at work and I don't have a dial up configured so I can't seem to find it now..? I'll have a look when I get home.. if no ones cleared it up by then! Robert
I remember when i was on dial up, i had a similar problem but AOL provided different dial up phone numbers and usually reconnecting with a different one sorted it out.

I will pass that onto her and ask her to try it.
