I've just ordered an @$$load of polishing crap and foam pads and wax/cleaner/polish/glaze/applicator/microfibre. I have a porter cable 7424 which gets rave reviews. Used it to do one of my headlights (I know, what about the other?.........in due time). Have you guys watched the meguiar's tutorial? It showcases their products of course, but it's very informative. http://www.meguiars.com

Stealthy...Grit Guard....overkill or sensible investment ?

Can't say I have used it bud, theoretically, it should not be needed when you use the 2 bucket method as your clean bucket should wash grit from the mitt. Using a lambswool mitt draws grit to the inner layer which is then rinsed in the clean bucket.

I wouldn't pay for it, unless I was (heaven forbid) using a sponge to clean the car. Sponge is bad because grit is retained at the surface which can then damage the paintwork
