After sending an email directly to BBS to answer my question they have failed to reply :( i have sifted throught the net to no avail, i once more to mkivsupra.net for your help :)

Currently i have a nice set of 2 piece BBS LM wheels. Im failry sure the center part of it is painted but really dont have a clue what the outer dish consists of. Because of this, i havent a clue what i can use to aid the cleaning of them?

Could anyone posibly shed some light on what the outer rim is made of and/or what i can use to aid in cleaning them?

Thankyou gaz :)

so im presuming it is exacly what it says on the tin, polished alloy.......meaning i cant use wonder wheels etc?

Can i use it on the painted central part, or am i likely to get a little on the poished bit and screw it up?

The reason for this is simply to aid getting off the brake dust......

If it is a polished alloy:

Use some brilliant to restore the shine to the wheel.

Then apply a good car polish / wax to protect the surface, the wax will allow the easier removal of brake dust and grime.

For the painted centre section i would just use soap and water with a toothbrush or bottle brush and again wax it.

Yeah, for god's sake don't use wonder wheels its highly corrosive!

Col's advice above is spot on for cleaning.
