Gaz Walker
You ideally need an exhaust first, then a de-cat... Regards, Gaz.

Gordon F
Uk spec brakes if you dont have them already
michael
You are lucky, you have a J-Spec, it likes to raise it's own boost - you just need to help it a little Dual decat, free flowing exhaust, restrictor ring to keep the boost to around 1.2 bar and a fuel cut defence device to allow for the increased boost without the standard limit cutting in - happy days. You might also want to budget for some colder grade spark plugs too but if you standard stuff is healthy you should be OK.

Steve W
NO mate, it's the WHOLE lot or nothing ! ! the new calipers NEED the bigger discs and of course new PADS... so the only 'choice' is... just FRONTS (~£700-ish) or front AND back (~£1500-ish). Sorry Steve - misread the post. Uk brakes on a jap car are the best mods for the money (even though it's more than a 'couple of hundred'.) RLTC probably follows close behind (even tho' I don't have it) Uk brakes won't make it faster - they will make it QUICKER
Matt Harwood
1, UK brakes or at least some very good pads. (Paul Whiffins or Chris Wilsons) 2, RLTC The car is already quick, but if it has standard J-spec brakes, the pads are made from butter and the calipers push with as much strength as a bulldog clip. RLTC will help keep the car going in the right direction... 3, Decat + FCD 3, decent exhaust - (Yes there are 2 #3's 'cause I can't decide which I'd do first..... Then you need to start spending money on things to keep it running safe, which also help to make it go faster, but without quite as much 'effect'.
