Seb
One for the bikers and bike lovers, this is basically Gran Turismo but with bikes. Done by the same people and featuring all the same tracks along with something like 180 licensed bikes. Looks really good and it's amazing to feel the difference between driving virtual cars and riding virtual bikes on familiar tracks. Worth checking out, but be prepared to fall off again and again... and again and again etc.
rik
Hadn't heard of this one! Sounds pretty good. Ex biker myself, so this could be a good way to get back on two wheels. How many real circuits are there, do they have the Isle of Man or the 'Ring.
Seb
Off the top of my head not sure how many real circuits are in there, I know tracks like Suzuka and Valencia are included along with the 'Ring - around 15 in total I think. People have been comapring this to Moto GP '06 - which I've not played - and they reckon the physics in this are better, plus you get to ride road bikes, as well as race bikes. Only shame is that you never race against more than 3 other bikes and rather than buying bikes you win the ones you want in challenges. Other than that, you can pull wheelies and stoppies to your heart's content - you can even do pro mode where you have separate buttons for the front and rear brakes. rik
Took your word for it mate, bought it yesterday. I've only had time to do a few laps in arcade mode, but i can tell i'll be hooked. The fact that the tracks are the same as Gran Tourismo is a bonus, because i know them well and can concentrate on controling the bike. The onboard view is awesome, very realistic but more difficult. You're right about the falling off bit though.

Seb
TT has been getting a lot of love from me recently. Was having real issues on Deep Forest, which was particularly galling as 4 of the coolest bikes (GSX-R 1000, Ducatti 999, CBR 1000, YZF-R1) have to won there. However, like a tool, I had been holding the tuck button on the corners which might make you more aerodynamic but it also makes you more likely to fall over. I also realised that with novice controls the computer tucks for you and pops the rider back up when you put the brakes on. Armed with that knowledge I headed for Deep Forest and blitzed it and now I love it, you can really throw the bike into the corners and it's so satisfying when you get it right. Also, Riding Form makes a massive difference to how the bikes handle. I didn't pay much attention to it initially, but I was over on http://www.gamefaqs.com and there's an faq all about Riding Form. I followed the guy's advice and you can feel the difference. Also, try pushing forward on the left stick when heading down a straight as it makes the bike slightly more stable, though remember to let go when braking or you'll pull a huge stoppie. And I love the replays - watching your rider hanging off the bike, sparks coming off the sides, seeing the suspension really working over the bumps, watching the back end step out and seeing your rider actually twisting the throttle, pulling the brake lever and changing gears with his foot. Talk about attention to detail! Phew
