Can anybody please tell me where this is?

I'm still having stalling issues with my car and have been told that a sticky valve might be the problem. Not really sure what I'm looking for, yet alone where to find it!!!!! :search:

Jo,

I've just got back from having mine done. Touch wood it has been fine so far. I'm pretty sure the idle has risen by a small amount which is nice.

One to to look for is the little flapper valve. We took the ICV off and cleaned it and inside the (I'm gonna get ribbed for this) long silver thing with ECTS on it was a little flapper valve. The rubber valve bit has a lot of gunk under it which we cleaned off too.

Don't know if you've done yours. Might be something to check if not.

Did mine again and put it back on the car yesterday. Havent been out in her since so dont know if its made any difference. I hope it does :(

As for your technical knowledge and explanation that really helps alot  Do you mean the long silver thing that the rubber hose attaches to?

Been out a bit today and it hasn't actually made that much difference. She still drop revs, just not as low.

Also had my plugs replaced and she seems a bit rough on idle.

Bloody cars.

..and yeah, the thing with the hose.

O2 sensor maybe, although I've been told that it'd run really bad if that was at fault and she's smooth on the move at the moment.

She's getting dyno'ed in a few weeks. I'll see what they say about her then.

How does your car feel when at rest with the engine just ticking over? Mine feels lumpy but not severely. The car does a little wobble every so often. Does your feel the same?

Ticks over at tsanding fine. My problems are when I start slowing down to approach a junction or in v slow moving traffic, she just loses all revs and dies :(
