Tricky-Ricky
This seems an interesting subject.........so could anyone say why when you vent the cam case breather to atmosphere, why you might get oil seeping back down the air filter ? Is there any other place to safely vent the cam breather instead of it going back into your inlet ? Thanks Digsy:) Suprash, are you sure its not oil; coming from an oiled filter? failing that it could be a symptom of turbo compressor seals going although unlikely, you can either vent into a closed catch can and then rout it back into the intake, if you just want to eliminate most of the oil from the intake, or vent the catch can to atmosphere, but this a big subject! there are some that advocate leaving the breathers alone, or at least use the first option, and others prefer large breathers vented to atmosphere, having just blown my crankshaft oil seal, i am now going to look more closely into this, as i don't want a repeat of this.
