Ok, the last owner of my car had subscribed to http://www.tracker.co.uk, and Id like to do it over here, but Im curious as to what equipment was installed for this ?

got these on are work vans ! it will be a box of tricks in your dash some where . that works off a gps single i belive well worth having mate .

Yep my thoughts too, hardware is there somewhere, checked it out on the site worth 219.00-599.00 depending on model just need find who supplies the GPRS tracking service here tho

if you no its tracker mate you should be able to phone them and sort it out as they will have the car on there data base.

I thought of that but its it another persons name tho they wont speak to me about someone elses account Ill try anyway tho thx for the help !

tracker ownership stays with the car rather than the owner so it should get transferred to you

Sorry no it don't.

I had to register with them and it cost me about £50 to change details and get a new battery unit fitted and it all tested.

Then it's £99 per year or £299 for the full time you own the car.

 

Try phoning 'Tracker' themselves as they should be able to help if you give them chassis and reg details.

BTW the unit itself can be mounted in loads of positions on the car, not just behind the dash;)

yeah sorry perhaps i should have been clearer, but my point was that it doesnt mean Tracker wont speak to him about someone else's account as the account is with the unit on the car not the old owner, so if he gives the cars details they should be able to sort it out for him, even if it is at a cost

I wont be making an account with them as Im not in the uk, I just want to speak to them to get info on the unit, so I can look up irish companies providing the same services, and hopefully use this unit !
