Underworld
Well its coming up to the time I buy the supe. Just asking for a bit of advice on insurance. I phoned up sky to get a quote, as I know what im after (Jspec BPU manual). Ill be 25, 0years ncb, 3 years on my driving licence, no points, 1 minor bump. The guy seemed very nice then at the end said he couldnt insure me. He confused me as he said sorry we can't insure you you need 1 years ncb. He then went on to say that you can be insured with 0 years ncb. Im really confused lol. Can I get insured with 0 ncb? Or should I get insured under my mums insurance using her ncb? Im getting the values of 700 quid on average from insurancesupermarket.com. Im assuming this is using UK spec as the model with no mods etc.. Accumulating ncb is not really important as Im hopefully emigrating in the next few years.
Ben-san
700 actually sounds like a good quote for a BPU supe at your age.
EddyS
I'd be carefull comparing quotes on a UK supe. My quote on a UK TT was £800 @ 21 with 2 years NCB. It goes up to £1400 for an import. Crazy!
tbourner
NCB is more important than age isn't it? I've got 6 years NCB now and still paying over £1000 for mine!!! I'm 25 in December but I'll have sold it by then (hopefully) so won't know how cheap it would've been.
