andrew7
Enjoy.... My fav album by Floyd is "Animals," which is hardly ever mentioned by anyone... Can recommend Steve Hillage's, "Green" from that era also if you like that "drift away" type of music...

Barney
I saw the Aussie Floyd a few years back and they were fantastic, If anyone likes Gabriel fronted/era Genesis you have to see a french band called The Musical Box, simply stunning. Saw Floyd twice on the "Wish You Were Here" tour, they did the complete "DSOTM" IIRC:) ...............being an old giffer does have it's advantages. Some of the other bands I have seen in slighty unexpected circumstances for this day and age: AC/DC as a support act. Blondie as a support act. Van Halen as support act to original Black Sabbath. Guns 'n' Roses in a 2,000 ish capacity hall, U2 in same hall. Kate Bush. I can also recommend the following CD by German band RPWL "Trying to Kiss the Sun"...check out the track "Home Again" in particular. Enjoy the gig Peter
JohnA
I've seen Floyd live (without Waters though, so not really Floyd) They were sad, fat, bald and bored. Pathetic. Not the Floyd you see in the 'Pompei' video. If you're a fan and have a SACD-enabled DVD player, get the 'Dark Side' in 5.1. It really is the dog's dangles (I should know, having various vinyl and digital versions) They will also have 'Wish you were here' and 'Animals' in SACD sometime in the near future. Can't wait. JohnA
Yes, I saw it too. Got it on DVD with some extra features as well. If you get the PinkFloyd at Pompeii DVD, you'll see some takes of TDSOTM as it is being recorded.
