TTC and AFR/EGT Levels

I realise there are threads related to this going on at the moment, but I can't find the info i'm after...

I'm thinking of going (temporary) TTC at the weekend, has anyone got EGT/AFR readings that show that the engine runs leaner or hotter as a direct result of TTC?

Cars off the road at the mo, but i'm running full decat at 1.0-1.1 bar with no additional cooling or fueling - this will be sorted soon.

Cheers.

hahaha you best not take your eyes off road too long. does yours go sideways when you put power on fast?

mine is hitting upto 1000 degrees, trying to get on to sorting it out

chris plumbed it in to washer system that has part methanol in the washer fluid. i wanted to have a seperate tank for water injection. and maybe mix it 50/50 water/methanol

i got it fitted as a safe measure. seems to have brought temps down a bit, but still hitting upto 1000 degrees on high boost. at about 70-80mph they are about 700 degrees need to check it out more.

that lad i know with high power cortina runs 100% methanol water injection and loads of nos

Cheers Monkey, sounds fun ;)

I'm going to try it out at the weekend. Are your EGTs higher in TTC?

I'm just worried that running in TTC with no added fueling/cooling at ~1.1bar might be pushing it...

Cheers Terry, I saw what you said in Monkeys thread about EGTs, same goes for the AFR?

I remember GavinL posting a thread about his TT running lean when hitting boost in TTC mode, the thread ended up going on about what AFR was - I just wanted clarification from some of the TTC people ;)

thanks 4 the reply monkey. matt plumbed mine into the regular washer bottle but was told to get a mk 2 or 3 escort bottle that would fit nicely between the battery n the front bumper (?). since i got the EGT gauge done at the same time, i am unaware of temp differences. on WOT, i hit about 920-950 (1.2ish) ... methinks this may be a little too high maybe ?
