Auto box problem-help!

Have a 1994 jap spec supra, totally standard, couple of weeks ago had the the big dash warning light come on a couple of times, sometime later gearbox symbol lit up twice then went out.

Then couple of days later the "slip cont" light started flashing on and off, once the engine was turned off and re-started it did not reappear. The car drove fine for about 500 miles, and no more lights have since appeared.however very occasionally,at slow speeds (10mph ish) The car will do a sort of juddering lurch for a second,99% of the time it drives fine.

Anyone have any similar experiences?Any ideas?Would be very gratefull for any input.

What do you mean by 'gearbox warning light', have you checked the engine diagnostics yet ????????, if you do a search it will tell you how and that may help you find a fault , did the slip light come on in the wet and car drive really slugish ????

only got car 4 months ago, from my dad who sadly died,he loved it and no expense was spared.

definitely changed trans oil when he got it(about 2 years ago)Car been serviced at recommended intervals since then. But worst case scenario trans oil changed 2 years ago

I've never seen a gearbox light before, but going by your description, it sounds like the engine management light.

As already suggested, do a diagnostic check.

Good luck
