i just missed out on something important on ebay because of this slow internet :protest:

i have a wgt624 108 mbps wireless router.

blocking sites is no problem, but the download site is actually a program, but im not familiar with it, or how it works.

i'd be happy just to restrict his bandwidth

you have to block the bearshare port number, by default this is 6346

As far as im aware netgear dont produce a router, to the public, that allow you to bandwith throttle (restrict his bandwidth) so blocking the port is the only option.

i bought a netgear wgt634u 108 wireless router and matching pci wireless card.it was dropping line all the time.unplugged it all and just running normal cable modem its not dropping line now. they have troubles with overheating.

Yep, I had the same router, as I upgraded from the 824m. I even did the cooling fans mod to the 624 and it still dropped the connection every 5 minutes.

Gone back to the 824m as I only really need the internet, not networking, so it is still fast enough, and does not drop any line, ever.

All Netgears recent stuff sufferes from the line dropping. Well worth looking at 3com and any other manufacturer instead.
