Ark Posted March 13, 2006 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Well, today I blew a boost pipe for the first time. Guess I'm properly part of the turbo club now, eh!?! It was the turbo to SMIC rubber pipe - I guess I didn't tighten up the jubilee clips properly. Anyway, that makes me want a hard pipe kit - who does the nicest? Or is it just my car these things happen to I had the Samco hose on mine and the jubilee clips couldnt hold it and neither could the t-bolt ones so changed it for the hard pipe. supRo Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 Just in case you haven't, use a socket set to tighten the hose clips instead of a screwdriver. I use el cheapo hose clips on hardpipes and have never had a problem even when I first de-catted and touched 1.4-1.5 bar accidently! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What we used to do was to spray some hairspray inside of the handlebar grips before we installed them to help grip a bit. Might be worth trying if you are having issues.
