Matt Harwood
I am told that the backplates on the J-spec front brakes are too small to take the UK disks and calipers. Do I:- 1, Remove them totally? 2, Cut them to fit as best as possible? 3, Order new UK backplates from Toyota and are they a straight fit? 3 sounds like the best option to me. Does any body have a part number and rough cost? What has everybody else done?

Guest Mycroft
Cut them off, and in about 10 weeks time I'll sell you a set of my ducted units to go in their old slot!
Matt Harwood
Cut them off.... Do they not unbolt? And yes, thank you Iain, make sure my name's on your list.
THOR Racing
I think it's quicker to just get your angle grinder and cut them off. BUT I suppose if you were replacing with these ducted ones then you'd need to unbolt it anyway I guess.
Guest Mycroft
No, undo all the Bolts then cut the thing off and my replacement will fix using the not too easily got at bolts and the suspension arm, I'm sorting the air filter so as to stop any debris being forced on to the disc, so all you get is cool air!
