The heat shouldn't matter to it. There's other electrical parts in the area that aren't harmed by the heat.

In one way the closer it is to the turbo and WG actuator the better because you want to have the pipes to and from the BC as short as poss.

Mine (GReddy e-01) is mounted just behind the stock airbox and has been fine for the last 18 months or so.
