Building custom airbox for aristo

The stock air box on the aristo isnt very good as Seb mentioned before, we dont have the benifit of air ducting under the headlight, so what most people do is just stick an after market induction kit on, my big idea is to build a custom aluminium (1.6mm thick) air box to incorperate the air ducting over the radiator and also with some custom ducting up from the front bumper also with the aid of a small electric fan. The whole box will also be covered with a heat blanket so that should reduce the radiant heat.

all the bits i need have arrived this afternoon except the electric fan which arrives later in the week.

will the fan not cause a restriction at higher speeds

the fan will only be pushing air from the ducting from the front bumper.

ive just been told the fan wont be here for 3 weeks.....might scrap that idea then

i see, but if the duct is going to get air rushing through its when on the move, will it not effectivley slow the air down, say if traveling at 70 which we never exceed, there will be a shit load of air trying to get up that shoot (snigger)

good point but im only ever driving about london and the traffic is what i was thinking about. I'll probably leave the fan out until ive done a bit more testing on the temps within the airbox.
