CJ
It has been some time since I have had a "normal" TT and despite searching I cannot seem to find a definitive answer. The Blue car has been run on Optimax for some time but I have access to Tesco 99 RON. I have been using it for the past few days and think I should now do a reset for the ECU to "learn" the new petrol rating. My question is, should I just do this once and then off we jolly well go or is it more than once over a period of time etc?
mikeyb10supra
I reckon once will do the trick CJ, I did mine once after I switched petty and twas fine after that
Rich
do it a few times after each fill up as you will still have the 98 ron in the system.
JohnA
Even once is probably unnecessary (except if it has other things done as well) The ECU reacts quickly as it 'hunts' for more aggressive ignition. After a 1/4 mile run it has learned it's lesson usually.
