....is probably not something I want to do for long, right?

I guess that now the weather's cooling down I'm boosting higher, I thought the car felt quicker today and when I looked over at the AVC-R it was showing a peak hold of 1.45

So am I right in assuming I need to get a restrictor ring to limit boost slightly?

TIA

Blimey!

I got up to 1.35 last week and sent for a ring from Chris to drop it to 1.1-1.2.

Cost was £15 + £2 P&P cheque payable to Chris. Tell him what you hit and what you want and he'll do his best!

Mines dropped to a fraction under 1.0 now, as Chris said its hard to get it exactly right, but its also warmer this week than last so not a true test - tomorrow is looking interesting though (eg cold morning 5 celsius), and I'm running on the rollers too :) If its still too low Chris said its simply a case of whipping the ring back out again and enlarging the diameter of the hole by about 2mm. Fits inbetween the 2nd cat section and the rear pipework!

Job done!

TT myster - yes you can do it that way, but changing the ring is the cheapest option. however, when the warmer weather comes the boost will drop again, so you'd be likely to need a controller to raise it again then..............

I've heard that Leon can reduce boost with that Blitz controller, don't know the details though............

With some Blitz boost controllers, you would need to check with him.
