So I guess x 2 I need 4 x 9005 and 2 H3 upgrades Side light bulbs? ******************* JAP = 361 and 362 (or something) Don't forget, the 9005's only go in after a small amount of one of the 'lugs' is filed off ! ! - really not hard though. The 9006 will NOT fit the dip bulb holder on a J'Spec because the hole is the SAME on the 2 Jap lights - on a UK the 9006 base circle is BIGGER ! ! ! - you can use 9005's in the dip but they don't have the painted 'tip' to give correct cut-off of the dip beam - don't know yet if that really matters - IF I try them in the dips I'll let you know ! Steve W Posted September 28, 2003 Author Share Posted September 28, 2003 YEP, that's it Midlie' 2 x 9005 for MAIN - slight "1"-lug shaving. 2 x 9005 for DIP - " " " " (BUT, not sure about SPREAD ?) 2 x straight-forward H3 (the spot with the 'wire' attached) for FOGs side lights are straight-forward 'peanut' bulb - the likkle 5w capless so the only 'doubt' is the cut-off/spread of the DIP using 9005s ???? did someone say they HAD used the 9005s for Dips already ! ? ! Got my lights being painted black by MatH this week and this would set it off nice! PS: will convert to black from chrome fitted for £80 I think? I got a deal for loads of other work. They have (?) the TWO makes - I might try the others next - they're stated as being even brighter ? ? ? Halfords DO do their 50% brighters but I asked about 9005s and they said not for some time ??? (the Halfords are still only 60/65 W though, just Xenon THESE are Xenon 100W ! ! !) I'm damn sure OTHERS do them now too - just that these are first 'closish' people in UK I've seen to date ? ? ? BUT, as I said last night - these don't seema lot 'stronger' but same strength WHITE LIGHT - the other WHITES always seem 'duller' (does that make sense ??? ) FatS.
