Mark Ayling
OK - how do I get this off then: http://www.mpaconsultancy.co.uk/supra/steeringwheel.jpg Or more specifically, how do I get the horn cover off of the center? From looking at the second one I've got (with the horn already off) it looks like you can just lever it, but I just wanted to check whether there was a knack to it or not before shoving a big screwdriver in there and breaking something TIA

Mark Ayling
Its OK now, I popped the center back onto the spare steering wheel I've got, then popped it back off again, so I know what to do now - probably won't even need to lever it, it came of really easily! Cheers Dude while you're on - do you know of anyone who can refurb/retrim this steering wheel? See here

Mark Ayling
Right then, managed to get the centre off no problem - however, I removed the centre nut holding the wheel on and it just wouldn't budge! Is there a knack to getting the actual wheel off or do you just have to smack it until it comes off?
Matt Harwood
I have no idea of how to remove a Supra steering wheel, but I've removed many steering wheels in my time. Generally hit it and/or pull it towards you... And just as a warning, I usually end up smacking myself in the face with it at least 90% of the time
arnout
if it's rusted slightly and you don't have a puller (that works best), get a hammer and a friend. You pull the wheel while your friend gives one big slam on the steering axle, where the bolt was. works perfectly. You can leave the bolt on to prevent you from ending up in the trunk.
