New thread for same problem! :D

I just checked my plugs. They all looked OK but pots 2 and 3 had a very small gap. What does small gap cause in problem terms? I've regapped to about 30 thou/0.75mm (OK on 1.2bar?), do I need to do an ECU reset after regapping or does it not learn things like that?

Guest slow dog

always best to reset after you have messed about under mate so it will start learning from the moment you turn the key mate

have you taken the battery off by any chance sometimes you take the battery off they dont idle and need to go out for a good run ?

If the gap in the plug is to small it can cause bad running, and the plugs should all be pre gapped when they come outta the box.

You dont need to reset the ecu when you change plugs.

But try a reset now and see if that cures your problem.

I did try a reset a couple of months ago and it made no difference.

NGK plugs should be checked when getting out the box - it's only iridiums that are gapped correctly. This is obviously true as 2 of my plugs were different gap to the other 4!!!
