stew123
OK I've tried looking through the FAQ's but I'm probably just too lazy to keep going! A while back I had the cam position sensor replaced - when it was faulty the car was idling at around 1200rpm....now fixed and we're back at around 800 - hooray! That is until I turn the lights on...idle speed immediatley goes to 1200 and will stay there, even if you turn the lights off...however if you turn the engine off and re -start; everything is back to normal (i.e 800rpm with lights on). This characteristic is un-affected as to which lights you switch on (side or full). Stew
tbourner
It should increase a bit when the lights come on, it's something controlled by the ETCS I think (?). 800 - 1200 sounds like too much though, I have no idea why it would go up too much, sorry.
